Raid 28 - 13 September 1915
The Raid
A seaplane was seen coming over towards Margate and came ashore over Cliftonville. 10 HE bombs were dropped, 6 fell in the streets and gardens in the east of the town. The other 4 landed on the beach.
Victims & Damage
2 women were killed abut very little damage was done.
Summary
This is a very small raid, 2 women were killed and nothing was really achieved.
Weather – Light cloud, some rain
Response – Seaplanes took off from Maidstone to pursue the plane.
